Introduction

There are 3 different rates of VAT in the Netherlands:

​

• 0% Zero Rate = Exports of Goods or Services

• 9% Reduced Rate = Food & Drink, Newspapers, Magazines, Agricultural Products and Services, medicines

• 21% Standard Rate = Applies to goods and services that do not fall under above or are not exempt.
